When should I arrive?

Our Shabbat services begin at 9:30am every Saturday morning. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early so you can have a coffee or refreshment and take your time finding a seat.

What should I wear?

We ask our congregants to dress modestly when attending the Shul. For men, we recommend wearing a button-down shirt and formal pants. For women, we suggest a skirt length below the knee or longer and a nice top that covers the shoulders and chest. The Shul is a place of worship, and we trust that you'll dress accordingly.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of parking available for our congregants on-premises and across the street in Sobey's plaza. You can park your car before Shabbat and leave your car overnight. We ask that you don't drive to shul on holy Shabbat.

What are the Shabbat services like?

Our Shabbat services are suitable for people from any Jewish background.

We recommend arriving 15 minutes early so you can have a coffee or refreshment and take your time finding a seat.

What if I’ve never been to a Shul before?

We're very excited to be a part of your first Shul experience! Our community is kind and welcoming to visitors and members of every Jewish background. You can explore our website for more information about our services and activities, or feel free to send us a message with any questions you may have.

What if I'm not religious?

That's perfectly fine! We invite you to join our services if you'd like to explore your faith and gain a deeper understanding of Judaism.

Are women welcome?

The Country Shul is a welcoming environment for women. We understand that many women may have felt like they don't belong or have struggled to find a way to be involved in services. We want to welcome you into our family and help you become an active member of our community. We run monthly women's programs and offer kids programs, so we can take care of your children while you participate in the programs.

Is there a kids' program?

We run a wonderful Kids' Program every Shabbat at the Country Shul. During the program, your children will sing selections from the Siddur, hear stories from the Torah, have a Shabbat party with Kiddush and Challah, play games, and enjoy our generous supply of toys. Parents are more than welcome to sit in the program or leave their children and participate in the services in the Sanctuary. Please contact us before Shabbat to confirm attendance if you will be coming with your children.

What are your Covid-19 measures?

We've taken extra measures to ensure our congregants can attend events and services in a safe and comfortable setting during this time. In addition, we've implemented social distancing procedures within the Shul by rearranging our tables and clearing more space in the main sanctuary.

How do I stay connected?

Stay up to date with upcoming events, services, holidays, and more with our weekly newsletter.

If you'd like to be more involved in the Country Shul you can also become a member or donate to programs in our community.

We look forward to meeting you!
